The TWMVC (Toronto Welsh Male Voice Choir) is honored to have been hired as the guest entertainment at more than 100 charity events over the past 21 years. Our choristers are also members and volunteers at many organizations in and around Toronto and the surrounding regions.

The choir has joined forces with the geriatric rehabilitation unit at the Toronto Rehabilitation Hospital where music is a valued therapeutic tool.

TWMVC-Toroto Rehab Hospital

A group of choir members are singing on a regular basis for patients who are confined because of illness, severe memory loss and resulting difficulties in communicating. Connections are made through song as evidenced by humming and the tapping of feet as memories are triggered by the music. In addition to the regular visits of choristers the choir also performed a pro bono concert on March 22nd to the delight of patients, their families and staff. This is a very rewarding activity for the choir and an example of our giving back to the community.

“Our staff has been moved by the profound impact that your choir members have when performing on our unit. Patients who during most of the day anxiously pace the unit, sit calmly and are fully engaged during your performances. Their lives are greatly enriched through the music and the tunes that bring them back to the wonderful years of their lives. Words alone cannot adequately express the enormous appreciation we all have for this outstanding contribution. “
